Commercial Contracting
This small, narrow building near the top of Public Road in Lafayette was a hair salon before Faith Rodgers and her husband James decided it was the right place for an herbal apothecary. Faith’s shop had been located nearby on East Simpson Street, but business was humming and she needed a sales area, a more accommodating space to hold small group classes, as well as storage space, and room to do some basic production. Beyond Moonlight Construction was hired as General Contractor to transform and update the building – we would welcome the opportunity to do more Commercial Contracting work.
Nicholas Borrell of The Healing Home is the Architectural Designer, who managed the required permits. Careful attention was paid to the health codes that required a new ADA compliant bathroom. The interior floor plan was designed to maximize every inch of this compact location while still allowing for ease of traffic and achieving a bright, spacious, airy vibe.
As you can see from the “Before” photo (courtesy of The Little Herbal Apothecary), the interior was stripped down to studs – all the better to get the best end result.

Beyond Moonlight Construction delivered a safe, clean, full remodel with updated electrical and plumbing improvements. Faith (plus family and friends) added decorative finishing touches to create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
